Since school is finally transferred online, I have decided it's time for me to finally go home. I have completed everything for the week, so now I won't feel bad wasting a whole day driving. Also with the stay at home restrictions, it is best that I start my journey home. Home for me is 9 hours away so I highly depend on my road trip essentials. My most important item is an energy drink for alertness. I typically would drink either Bang, Reign, or Monster. Next on the list are road trip snacks. For me, this includes thick fruity gum such as Hubba Bubba or Bubblicious. I typically chew on this gum when I start to get sleepy, because it's harder to chew so it tends to wakes me up. Another snack I enjoy are corn nuts. Weird, I know, but just like the gum, this snack is hard so it tends to wake me up. I also make sure to bring treats for my doggy passenger as well. Her favorite snack of choice is beef jerky. Next, is the music department. Having a playlist of your favorite songs or energetic music is key to keeping you alert and going. I enjoying jamming out to my music and having a bit of fun on my long journey. Before stopping to fill up, make sure to look at the exit signs to see if there are lot of food and bathroom options. When there are more gas stations and food places, the restrooms are typically nicer and the gas stations are cleaner. In conclusion, these are just a few of my favorite items or techniques for the road. Let me know your road trip essentials in the comment section!
I totally agree with you on the energy drink! I only have an hour drive home so I can't imagine how difficult it is to stay awake and alert. I hope you made it home safely and are settling in.
ReplyDeleteDefinitely Agree you absolutely need a playlist on your road trip. I honestly think it’s one of the most important things on your essentials list, I mean it wouldn’t be fun without music. Personally I love driving just to listen to music, I literally couldn’t drive from school to home without putting on some music let alone 9 hours. I feel like the music with the scenery of the road really makes you appreciate life and kinda is a relief from reality , it helps you just enjoy the little things like your free open road and some good music.
